Jeff and Elizabeth Steen live and work in West Seattle.
Elizabeth Steen, J.D., began her legal career as an intern in the United States Senate after she was graduated from Indiana University Bloomington - Maurer School of Law in 2007.
In Seattle, Elizabeth serves on the Membership and Outreach Committee for the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and as Vice Chair of the King County Bar Association - Collaborative Law Section. She is a member of the Pierce County Center for Dialog & Resolution mediation practicum and the Family Law Practice Group for King County Collaborative Law. She has trained extensively in Collaborative Family Law. Before she moved to Seattle in 2011, she worked as a lawyer with federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security. In Seattle she has worked with SEIU Local 925. She has been a licensed attorney for 10 years.
Jeff Steen has a masters in education and has trained extensively in resiliency strategies and conflict management. An educator with 23 years experience, he is the 2013 state-wide winner of the Golden Apple Award for excellence in education.
Jeff experienced a divorce in 2004, when he and his wife paid more than $70,000 in legal fees. As a result of this experience, he is determined to help other families stay out of court.
